Victorian Bushfire Emergency Transport Support Program: Primary Producers

Transport subsidies of up to $15,000 are now available to eligible primary producers directly impacted by the Victorian Bushfires commencing 21 November 2019, AGRN 882.

The support is available to bushfire affected primary producers in the local government areas of Ararat, Alpine, Ballarat, East Gippsland, Glenelg, Golden Plains, Greater Bendigo, Indigo, Mansfield, Moyne, Northern Grampians, Pyrenees, Southern Grampians, Strathbogie, Towong, Wangaratta, Wellington and Wodonga.

Eligible primary producers (including apiarists) can claim the subsidy for eligible transport costs that directly address immediate animal welfare and safety needs, including:

• Transporting of emergency fodder for stock to fire-affected properties
• Transporting of stock to agistment (including returning stock), sale or slaughter
• Transporting of stock drinking water.

Applicants can apply for a combination of transport activities undertaken before 30 June 2020. The program will cover up to 50 per cent of total costs, to a maximum of $15,000 (excluding GST) per farm business.
